Also titled as "Your Lie in April", this anime tells a story of Arima Kousei, a brilliant pianist who won a lot of concours since he was a kid. But since his mother died about two years ago, he had a mental breakdown which causes him no longer able to hear the sound of his piano even though his hearing was perfectly fine. He passed two years not playing piano until he met Miyazono Kaori, a high-spirited violinist that taught him to play music not only based on music sheets, but also with his heart. Kaori helps Kousei return to the music world and show that it should be free and mold breaking unlike the structured and rigid style Kosei was used to.
I watched this anime after it was finished airing. For me, this is a very excellent anime I ever watched. It contains so much feelings and life lessons, also comedy and romance of high-school students. There are four main characters: Arima Kousei, Miyazono Kaori, Sawabe Tsubaki, and Watari Ryouta. Tsubaki and Watari is Kousei's bestfriends. My favorite characters are the protagonists, Arima Kousei and Miyazono Kaori. But I like Kousei the best! His attitude and character makes me fall in love with him over and over again. He do nothing and I just sit here admiring all things about him. I like Kaori because of her positiveness and spirit. I love how she played violin to express her feelings and not just play the music based on the music sheets.
By the way, the music used for the openings and endings are soooo good! Here's the list of the openings and endings with the download link:
My favorites are Hikaru Nara, Nanairo Symphony, and Orange.
I think the best scenes in the whole 22 episodes are when Kousei met Kaori and when Kousei read Kaori's last message for him; which means the beginning and the ending of the series! The ending broke my heart into pieces that I cried a lot watching it. I recommend this anime for those who love music genres and comedy romance, with a lot of feelings included!
