Bad Day (Irony #3)

Do you know the feeling of being invisible?
You were there, but people act like you weren't

You were there standing right in front of them, but they didn't look. They avoided you, they didn't want to even look at your face. You tried to look at them; they seemed like noticed, but they didn't want to have an eye-contact with you, so they looked away. You wanted to try to talk to them, but you can't think a word... You wanted to ask, "Why?" but you just can't. You felt like digging your own hole by asking such thing, so you discouraged

The next time you see them, they were having chit-chats with people who are your friends, too. You joined. You talked to the person who has closest relationship with you at the moment, you laughed. But they seemed like not liking you. They went away. They laughed together just for themselves. They avoided you. You knew you used to be with them. You knew it so well, how you made good memories with them. You cried inside. You suffered so much to not cry for real. You tried so good. You succeed.

Then comes your last encounter with them for the day. They still avoided you. They walked here and there randomly, trying so hard so you can't find them. But you found them. And once again, you wanted to try to talk to them, but you can't think a word... You were so negative. You were so doubtless that if you talk to them, they would ignore. Deep inside, you knew that they are actually not that bad. But well, you discouraged

You want to know so bad the actual reason behind all of this. Your chest hurts so bad. Your eyes feel so hot, you want to cry... You want to cry your heart out so much. All you ever wanted to know is the answer of your short, pitiful question: "Why?" but nobody answered. The only thing you want besides your answer is to sleep. A long sleep, and forgetting all your pain when you get up.

If you've read this until the end, I appreciate it. Thank you so much. :)

[Book] #88LOVELIFE by Diana Rikasari

Title: #88 LOVE LIFE
Author: Diana Rikasari
Illustrator: Dinda Puspitasari
Publisher: KPG
Pages: 128

As most people in fashion industry have already known, this book is written by the unique fashion blogger: Diana Rikasari. This book is fulfilled with 88 thoughts of love and life by Diana Rikasari and illustrated by Dinda Puspitasari. Dinda Puspitasari is one of famous illustrator in Indonesia (her artworks are adorable, you really need to check her blog out!). This book is sold throughout Indonesia, and some other nearby countries. I bought this book at Gramedia Summarecon Mal Serpong for IDR 88,000 a few days ago.

This book is so cute and inspiring. This book is very photogenic! In instagram, many people uploaded their shots of this book using #88lovelife hashtag. I love taking pictures of this book, too. Never get me bored all the time. It's because the book is beautifully designed with motivational quotes and colorful illustration. I really can't decide which one's my favorite. Each of them are really good! Also, there are some black pages containing a short story about Diana Rikasari's first encounter with her husband, S. I want to spoil the story, but I think you rather buy yours to know the story! :b

The cons of this book are: 1) the paper used is too thin. If you look closely, you might see the trace of the next page. This is pretty disappointing because I expected more than this, and yes, 2) I think the price IDR 88,000 is quite expensive for this book. In my opinion, at least this book worth more than IDR 50,000 but lower than IDR 88,000. And 3) this book isn't available in soft-cover (in Indonesia, there's no soft-cover version, idk if there's any in other country). Well, if there's a soft-cover version, I still prefer the hard-cover one. But I think there are some people who will choose the soft-cover version, whether it's based on their taste or whatever.

By the way, the picture above is my illustration of Diana Rikasari! I drew it based on her pictures in this post in her blog. Tools I used are: mechanical pencil, drawing pens (0.2 and 0.3), and Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils (and used Faber-Castell no. 330 for coloring the skin). Actually, I really want to do it digital (all because I checked Dinda Puspitasari's blog and drooled over her adorable digital illustrations) but I'm too lazy to draw using mouse and I have no pen tablet so... yeah xD

Overall, #88 Love Life is a good book :)

Sponsored: UU Hair Extensions

Are you wishing for long thick hair?
Wanting a different hair style without taking the risk that your hair might get damaged?
Well, you may try wearing hair extensions!

UU Hair Extensions provide you many kinds of hair extensions. It is an online human hair extensions shop. They sell various hair extensions with high quality but low price across the world. When hair extensions are usually made of synthetic hair, all of their hair extensions are made of 100% human hair without synthetic. They have provided thousands of customers with superior quality hair and meet their request about long thick hair.

UU Hair Extensions is dedicated to produce hair extensions with the highest quality. Their products are easy to use and maintain and with the most natural looking. They use 100% virgin Brazilian & Indian remy human hair, which is with highest quality in the current market.

Troubled to choose your favorite one? Well, I know right! So, to help you shop, I’ll introduce you some of their products:

In my opinion, this kind is the easiest one to wear. You can simply clip it on your real hair. Of course they provide a lot of color for this clip in hair extension! My favorite is dark auburn (I always wanted to have this color on my hair!). Don't worry it will accidentally fall off your hair because there are many clips on the extensions and you can be sure that all the clips are working perfectly on your hair.

Make sure you choose the best length for you! Shop by length is important, because I'm sure you don't want it too long or too short, right? Besides 18 inch, there are more options of hair extensions length like 16 inch, 20 inch, 22 inch, 24 inch, 26 inch, and 28 inch. By the way, you can also shop by textures and weight too! Make sure you make right choices on choosing your hair extensions :)

Different from clip in hair extensions, hair weave offers a different style of wear. You can use micro rings, glue, or clips to apply it to your hair. I never see this kind of hair extension before, so I think I still prefer the clip in hair extensions. No need to depend your choice on me, because choosing between hair extension kinds is based on your suitability with it.

So, if you're thinking about wearing hair extensions and looking for some, please try finding your favorite on UU Hair Extensions! They use 100% real human hair with good quality and yes, they ship their products worldwide! By the way, they also sell other types of hair extensions like hair tapes and micro loops, and wigs too!

Personally, I've never really try to wear hair extension for occasions, but I think I'll definitely try it soon. How about you guys? Do you ever wear one? What kind of hair extensions did you wear? What color or length you chose? Let me know :)

#DontJudgeChallenge: The Actual Truth

I'm pretty sure that most of you are already know about this #dontjudgechallenge which is a popular trend in instagram these days. People make videos of themselves with their 'ugly look' and then, in seconds, they'll transform to their 'best look' with proper makeup and better hairstyles (check #dontjudgechallenge hashtag in instagram for examples). Too bad, most of people try this challenge without knowing how and why this challenge started.

What #dontjudgechallenge actually is?

This challenge is triggered by a video uploaded by a beauty blogger named Em Ford. She started uploading photos of her face without wearing any makeup to her social medias. And as expected, many people gave negative responses, and most are insults about her pale skin and her acne, telling that she's ugly and worse: disgusting. Then she started to wear makeups again, and people said she's amazing, flawless, beautiful... But at the end, people keep telling that she's faking herself by wearing makeup.

So, this #dontjudgechallenge was started to support Em Ford. Through this video, people want to tell others that she was right that we should not judge people from their appearance. But a lot of people misunderstood what #dontjudgechallenge actually means. They took it wrong by wearing fake acne, fake unibrow, thick/messy lipsticks, fake freckles, etc. as their 'ugly look'. It seems like they're telling that people with acne, unibrow, and freckles are ugly, meanwhile people who wear makeups are beautiful. It makes the original message of #dontjudgechallenge (to not judge people by their appearance) is ruined. Having acne doesn't make you ugly, stop belittling people by giving them the idea they aren't beautiful.

How am I supposed to make my own #dontjudgechallenge video?

This #dontjudgechallenge SHOULD NOT used to make fun of ugly people. This challenge isn't intended to be a joke. This challenge supposed to be a way to tell people that we shouldn't judge people by their appearance. There's no standard of being beautiful! All of us are beautiful.

We don't have to join this challenge just because it's trending in social medias! What if people with those look you interpret as 'ugly' get offended? You just indirectly hurt other people because of your 'joke'. Make sure you understand what #dontjudgechallenge (or other challenges might trending in the future) actually means if you want to make one :)

"You are beautiful - no matter how flawed you feel,
no matter how upset you may about the way you look
or how hard you find it to make friends, or be confident.
Believe in yourself, and never let anyone tell you're not beautiful - not even yourself."

(Em Ford)

Simplicity

The Silver Sky white sweatshirt // Elizabeth bag // unbranded jeans // Converse galaxy sneakers

I wore this outfit last Wednesday when I went to Tangcity Mall to have a meet up with my elementary school friend. We went to the cinema and had lunch together at a Japanese restaurant. She paid for my lunch as a treat since she celebrated her seventeenth birthday on May. I wasn't able to come to her party, so she gave me a free lunch as a replacement. The movie we watched is Jurassic World which I posted a review about it, check my previous post! Before getting back home, we bought drinks and had a long conversation about many things... Fortunately we have drinks so we didn't get thirsty because of talking so much. We took selfies too! Simply check my instagram to see more photos of us. Oh, and as her birthday gift, I drew her with her favorite fictional characters. Seems cheap, huh? But I really don't know what to buy for her. As long as I know, her wishlist items are all too expensive... I'm glad when she said she love it! It was really fun since I got nothing to do in my house during holiday!

PS: Tomorrow is my third anniversary with my boyfriend! Yay!

[Movie] Jurassic World

This post might contains spoiler.

If you're asking me, then the only answer is: THIS MOVIE IS SO DAMN COOL. I never watched its previous series before, because, you know, I don't find it interesting at all. The same thing happened with this movie at first. I thought, I will never get interested into this dinosaur movie. I thought, it's only about dinosaurs eating people and people running away from them, and then some miracle made by humans will destroy that dinosaurs and the end. But I was all wrong! It's not only about dinosaurs eating people and things (but well, some people got eaten). Watching this movie also make us learn about relationship between humans and animals (in this case, the dinosaurs), by trusting them and not controlling them. Plus, to tell us to obey rules. If you're in a dinosaur theme park, and you find a restricted area unguarded, please don't enter. You might turn yourself into someone's lunch!

This movie released on 2015, June 10 in Indonesia (two days earlier than US!). I watched this movie yesterday with my friend. She's my elementary school friend, and yes, fortunately, we still contacting each other until now. She's the one who invited me to accompany her watch this movie. At first, I think it's okay. Nothing's wrong with a try (kalo diajak ya pergi, kalo enggak ya di rumah aja). I don't think I will be interested, I think, I'm only going to watch it because I was invited. But as stated before, I was all wrong. This movie is probably the best movie I ever watched during this year.

So, Jurassic World tells about the Isla Nublar 22 years later. Isla Nublar is an isolated island located in Costa Rica. Isla Nublar is reactivated as a new theme park named as Jurassic World, and now owned by Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan), the CEO of Masrani Corporation. Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), a field worker staff in Jurassic World, that assigned to train a group of Velociraptors: Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. Also, Jurassic World is developing a crossbreed dinosaur called as Indominus Rex. This Indominus Rex is 15 meters tall, and it's a highly intelligent carnivore. One day, these two young boys visited the park. They're Zach (Nick Robinson) and Gray (Ty Simpson), which are nephews of Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the park operational manager. And in the same day, the Indominus Rex escaped from its cage.

Here goes the phenomenal image in the internet. Yes, this picture just became so popular and made into parodies by people. Actually, in the movie, it's Owen 'talking' to the Raptors to not attack. At first, this bond made between Owen and the Raptors seems great, but near the ending of the movie you'll find it awesome! It's cute how the Raptors trust him although they once doubted him and followed the Indominus Rex as their new alpha.

The Indominus Rex itself is totally scary. She (if I'm not mistaken heard in the movie, it's called as 'she') firstly born from its egg with her sibling. They actually meant to grow together, but she ate her sibling... Well, although it's better than having two Indominus Rex(s) running wildly in the park. Many squads deployed to stop the Indominus, but they all beaten by her. As Owen said, she will chase after those who moves, or worse, eat them. But she doesn't always eat everything, she also kill for sport.

In my opinion, the most interesting dinosaur is the Mosasaurus. It's an aquatic dinosaur. It's soooo big and I don't think a big shark would satisfy its appetite. Also, I love the fact that it's a aquatic dinosaur that it can't escape easily from the park without water. At least it's pretty safe in the park for not eating people unless the visitors came too near to the pool or accidentally splashed into the water.

Other than the dinosaurs, I really like the relationship between Zach and Gray. Gray is a cute little boy who's really interested in dinosaurs, meanwhile Zach is about 17 or 18 years old which means he's that kind of boy who easily attracted to girls. At first, they look like not really close. But well, they're siblings! I love how Zach wanting to protect his young brother. He's so responsible to his brother's safety.

There are still many things in the movie I really want to spoil to you, but I'm sure you guys don't wanna. You really need to watch the movie yourself! It's so damn thrilling yet satisfying. I have no regret watching this movie! RECOMMENDED!
